Try as I might, Try as I will
But things just eludes me still

Catching a breath, Getting some air
Hope to see the end of the whole affair

Growing an inch, Gaining an age
Might just give me a winning edge

Looking ahead, Glancing back at the track
Makes me wonder if I ever will go back

Holding my head, Patting my back
I’m glad the future doesn’t seem so black
